Blue Diamond products are coated with our signature diamond-infused ceramic nonstick. The raw materials were originally derived from silicon dioxide (not to be confused with silicone), which originated from sand. The materials are combined to form a sprayable solution. After spraying onto the pans, the coating is then cured in an oven at a relatively low temperature. As a result, the curing process requires 60% less heating energy versus conventional nonstick pans, which means 60% fewer CO2 emissions.

The absence of forever chemicals in our coating means it won’t release toxic fumes, even if you accidentally overheat it. Our diamond-infused ceramic nonstick can withstand temperatures up to 850°F/450°C in case of a short boil dry accident, something that would not be safe to do with a conventional nonstick frypan. Our diamond-infused ceramic nonstick has also been certified by third party testing labs as conforming to international regular food contact standards set by the US FDA (USA Food & Drug Administration) and by EU regulators. No, PTFE is a PFAS, and we do not use any PFAS including PTFE or PFOA in our coatings. Our signature diamond-infused ceramic nonstick starts out with raw materials, which are derived from silicon dioxide, SiO2, originated from sand.

Our diamond-infused ceramic nonstick is a better heat conductor than conventional nonstick coatings. We recommend that you cook on a lower heat setting than you would do with a conventional nonstick pan. This will prevent your food from burning.

To maximize performance use low to medium heat, silicone & wood utensils, and oil or butter. To clean, use a soft sponge with warm, soapy water. Let it cool before washing and store safely.

Our coating is tough enough for metal utensils, but nylon, bamboo, silicone, and wood utensils will preserve your pan’s coating and keep it like new for longer.

Most collections are, but hand washing is recommended to help your coating last even longer. Check packaging or your collection’s page for care recommendations.

Scratches, dents, or pits in the coating won’t affect the safety or performance of your pan.

For the interior: Fill the pan halfway with water and bring it to a near boil for about 2 minutes. Pour out the water and place the pan on a sturdy surface such as a wooden cutting board. Carefully use a melamine sponge and a little water on the warm surface and rub gently, for best results. For the exterior: Mix baking soda and a little water to form a smooth paste; then use paper towel or soft cloth to rub the paste over the stained area. Do not use this on the interior nonstick coating.

Most Blue Diamond cookware works on all stovetops, except induction. Pans with our Magneto™ induction bases work on all stovetops, including induction, as does any stainless steel collection. Check your packaging for more information or refer to our product pages.

Many of our collections are induction compatible. All our stainless steel collections are, as well as any collection with our Magneto™ induction base, which is specially designed for optimized performance on all stovetops. Check our product pages from specific product features and compatibilities.

Yes, ceramic nonstick cookware is oven safe. For specific temperature restrictions, please refer to your packaging or your collection’s product page. If you are unsure, please contact us for clarification info@bluediamondpan.com.

When your order ships you will receive a tracking number in your shipping email. You can start tracking your order 24 hours after it ships.

Consumers may return their unused products within 90 days after receiving. We kindly accept returns for products that are unused and in original packaging. Due to the nature of the item, cookbooks cannot be returned and are final sale. The shipping cost of returning unwanted purchases to Blue Diamond is the responsibility of the consumer.
